Shelby Charter Township, officially the Charter Township of Shelby, is a charter township and census-designated place located in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The township, a northern suburb of Detroit, is located roughly 15 miles (24 km) north of the city. The 2010 Census places the population at 73,804. Shelby Charter Township is one of the fastest growing communities in Metro Detroit.

The U.S. Census Bureau has also defined Shelby Charter Township as a census-designated place (CDP) in the 2000 Census so that the community would appear on the list of places (like cities and villages) as well on the list of county subdivisions (like other townships). The final statistics for the township and the CDP are identical.

When I booked our move, I received a 2 hour window when the movers would arrive. Then the day of, I received a text of their more exact timing of arrival and that they were on their way. They showed up on time and were extremely personable and were professional. They introduced themselves and were friendly to work with. The guys loaded and unloaded our things at our new house without any issues. We had an overall stress free and easy move. They even moved a treadmill from our old basement to our new basement with ease. I highly recommend this company!

The guys who helped us out were quick, efficient and very careful with our belongings. They worked together well and were even able to overcome the hurdle of our sectional and got it out with ease! DTM was great! The movers arrived on time, were polite, nice, and got everything from point A to point B. We moved from a one bedroom apartment to a bungalow house and the entire move took ~4 hours. We insured some high value items and nothing broke, they took good care of those for us and were prepared to wrap them in moving blankets. They were efficient and very helpful in our move. I would definitely recommend them!

I can't say enough good things about the 3 men who moved us from designed to move, Jalen, Damion and Jordan. They moved a house full of furniture, most of it antiques, and did not damage to the walls or the furniture. They were friendly, polite and professional. When asked to move some of the furniture to reconfigure a room they were pleasant and accommodating. I would hire them again without hesitation.

Couldn't say enough about the 3 gentlemen that came to my house and helped me move large pieces out. They did arrive late but they still showed up after working all day in the 90 degree weather. Would highly recommend then for anyone need things picked up and put down (lol) Thanks guys!

This company is excellent. I had to move thousands of pounds of lab equipment the next day. They were one of the only companies available to move in such a short time frame and they did an excellent job. They showed up on time and moved the equipment efficiently and safely. I had a local move (about 30 mins away) with 2 stops and contacted ~6 different moving companies for quotes. After dealing with each company, Designed to Move impressed me with their professionalism, and quick response time. While they were not the cheapest movers I found, they were close and these 2 factors played a roll in my choice. Originally I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday, the next morning Jim (owner) called me an apologized that there was an error and Saturday wasn't available. He offered me a 5% discount and we rescheduled for Sunday. Sunday morning arrived and the movers where scheduled to show up between 9-11am. They showed up at 10:45 and immediately got to work. Jay and Billy worked hard, knew their stuff, and took their time when needed on delicate items. I was extremely impressed with the 2 of them. They were friendly, but got down to business. The rest of the move went the same way. When it was time to pay the bill, they were aware of the discount and included it without me even bringing it up. I would recommend and will use Designed to Move for all future local moves I have. Thank you to Jim, Jay, and Billy for a great experience.

Needed a large bar moved from my dining room to the basement. Could not get any moving companies to call me back. Called these guys they came out the next day and did a great job at a great price. Very polite and careful. Would not use anyone else

I’ve used this company 3x now and I’m about to schedule my fourth move with them and realized I’ve never written a review. These guys are amazing! Always prompt, efficient, and faster than any humans should be. I’ve had them lug heavy furniture up 3 floors of stairs and tight corners and they somehow always smile when cursing me would be appropriate. Great coupon on yelp for them that they always honor.

I have used other movers in the past but these movers stood out. From the initial phone call experience to the actual move, everything was exemplary. I received prompt return phone calls and honest and detailed planning. The two movers, Dylan and Sean, were very caring and took great care of all our property. They were efficient and equally caring at the destination and made sure the furniture were in the locations we desired and boxes were in the optimum areas so that we wouldn't have to further move the boxes in order to unpack them. Furthermore, Sean and Dylan were very pleasant and funny. They made a usually dreaded moving experience a fun one.
